I have arrived back home after 5 weeks sailing up the East Coast of the UK and have met up with three HPOs and on returning to Scotland I shall try to meet two more on the West Coast towards August before laying the boat up for the winter in Kip Marina.

CHANGES TO HPOs:

Yvonne Phillips,           HPO Mallorca (South) has returned to the UK and has resigned as HPO.

Dr Meinhard Kohfahl, HPO Cuxhaven, having reached the age of 85 and 17 years as HPO, has stepped down but his son Dr Jens Kohfahf has agreed to continue as our HPO for Cuxhaven.

NEWS UPDATE:

Stuart Aikman,     HPO Fetiyhe, Turkey, has written to say that the main marina (Ege Marina) will give preferential treatment to visiting members.  The Yacht Classic Marina has had a major revamp but be aware that the entire Moorings charter fleet has moved to this marina from Gocek and may well be full.  Stuart has passed a reminder that his wife and sister run a small family law firm and if any members have any enquiries along those lines, please get in touch.   Stuart is also toying with the idea of  skippered charters on his Beneteau 43 -  if anyone is interested, please give him a call as Fetiyhe Bay is a most beautiful area to sail.

Arthur Podesta,   HPO Malta  has just had a visit from Roger Morris and he afforded them a most helpful and welcoming visit at the Royal Malta Yacht Club, pontoon and facilities.  Members sailling the mediterranean, do call into Malta and contact Arthur.

Sarah  Fountain,   HPO, Bay of Islands, New Zealand, is coming to the UK two weeks beginning July for a visit and looks forward to staying at the Club and also to meeting members.

Wietse Buwalda,  HPO Crosshaven, Ireland, writes that they have a fine sheltered deepwater marina , liftout for boats and comprehensive workshop.  His personal boat 411 Beneteau if offered to careful members

FINALLY, this summer I am hoping to hear more from members and HPOs of all the contacts that have been made - do remember HPOs are important  and need to meet members to feel that they are a part of our  Club.
