Sailing plans have changed as a berthing came in a marina close to where we have an apartment in Theoule sur Mer in the south of France. These are very difficult to get and we were surprised when our long standing application for one came up, especially when we were told this could take years. We suppose the fact we have had an apartment there for 16 years and are to a degree sort of part of the community now with our regular visits, helped?

Alas because of this Our plans of a trip to the solent and east coast sailing have now changed. Notwithstanding this, we have had an eventful time, taking our boat down to Theoule. We have crossed the bay of biscay from portsmouth to la coruna in 4 days and 4 hours, with a F7/8 behind us, and we have sailed this in the med across the golfe de Lion. All amazing experiences. Alas, owing to work, we could not do the whole trip, but had some great help with the rest. 

Now we are in the med, we have 3 visits down there already booked up, and one of these for 2 weeks in july. Our long term plans when we finally hang up our boots will be to sail much of the med and explore all of those places we have always wanted to.
