UPDATE    Sunsail/Moorings have currently suspended charters until 31st October.  They are still assessing damage out there and will be in touch about November bookings as soon as they are able.

Dates:  We have settled on a 10 day cruise from Wednesday 8th November to Sunday 19th.

Itinerary :  Will be optional.  You can follow the group or strike out on your own.  We will start and finish in Road Town, the capital of Tortola. In between we hope to visit Cooper Island, Virgin Gorda Island, Anegada Jost van Dyke, Marina Cay, Cane Garden Bay, and several others in between, finishing at Norman Island on Saturday night.  It will be  gentle sailing for those who just want to chill. For those who prefer more of a thrill,  the will be the opportunity to visit  the more distant islands in the area.  Watch this space.

Charterers: Sunsail is our preferred charterer in the area.   They have just extended their offer and are holding 4 more boats for us.  Click here for details.   They are offering us 15% discount and I attach a list of prices and details of other incentives they are offering.  Click here for details. Please contact Laura Bowtell (Laura.bowtell@tuimarine.com) or Yasmin Dookun (yasmin.dookun@tuimarine.com )      Contact them direct to reserve a boat.

Fun: We are not planning a formal social programme – just a party at the start and a dinner at the end. In between will be informal and spontaneous. We can all meet up in certain restaurants or we can scatter and anchor alone in secluded bays.  I am concocting a competition that I hope will require very little effort, but should be very enjoyable.

Getting there: BA does flights from Gatwick to Antigua and LIAT fly from Antigua to Tortola. BA are are running a sale during January.  They fly direct to Antigua from Gatwick .  Flights out are day flights arriving about 3 pm  in Antigua.  The return flights are overnight and should arrive at Gatwick early morning.  The local airlines (Liat and Inter Caribbean)  provide flights between Antigua and Tortola.    Sunsail will help with flight bookings.

The area is listed in “Fifty Places to Sail before you Die” and described as Easy Comfortable and Beautiful. Who would not want that in November! Let me know if you are giving it some serious thought.
