Boating Programme & New Members' evening

The talk will provide a summary of sailing and boating events in 2017 and beyond.
The Club website, the Skippers and Crew system plus further information on how to sign-up for these will be covered. The talk will be of interest to all members but especially to new members.
During the evening and over supper there will be an opportunity for all new members, skippers and crew to mingle and to start planning their next trip.

Beating Retreat

The Pinstriped Highlanders – the pipers of the Highland Society of London who play every year for the Highland Ball at the Banqueting House, Whitehall - will beat retreat for the Little Ship Club. This event will take place by arrangement of our Past Commodore, Michael Forbes Smith, who is one of their members.

Talk: Flew Sailmakers, Speaker: Mark Flew

Our weekly Tuesday lecture will be given by Mark Flew of Flew Sails. Mark has been running Flewsails for 25 years from a unit in Wicor Marine in the hustle and bustle of Portsmouth Harbour, and will give a talk on 'the variety of sail cloths available and the options to consider when choosing new sails.
We are also delighted that we will have two other special guests this evening: Sir Robin Knox-Johnston will be in attendance to introduce Mike Golding as our new President.

Our annual dinner for everyone who has undertaken training at LSC this year. Richard Falk, RYA training manager, will come to present certificates and prizes and speak after dinner.
