Endeavour is a Leigh on Sea cockle boat. Built in Leigh in 1926, most of her life was spent in harvesting shell fish and catching shrimp and flounders. But in May 1940 she was one of six Leigh fishing boats which sailed to Dunkirk to help in the evacuation of Allied soldiers. Only five boats returned.
