About Guy Collyer

Guy Collyer has worked at Police Crime Prevention Initiatives (PCPI) since January 2017. Within this non profit organisation, Guy leads the Police Crime Prevention Academy, responsible for delivering qualifications for police, security and other key roles focused on reducing crime in the UK.

Prior to this, Guy spent 30 years in the UK Police Service and 3 years at INTERPOL with a focus on Counter Terrorism issues. As National Coordinator for Biological Security, Guy was the author of a number of publications including ‘Personnel Security Standards for Laboratories’. The aim of this guidance was to combat the insider threat and protect high risk biological materials. Guy went on to work on projects aimed at protecting the critical national infrastructure within the UK.

During a 3 year tenure at INTERPOL, Guy was the Head of the BioTerrorism Prevention Unit. During this time, Guy and his team devised many training delivery programmes that were delivered around the world, including the creation of a Biosecurity working group in West Africa during the 2014 Ebola outbreak.

Guy has been the author of 6 UK Government publications and published in a number of peer reviewed journals. In 2002 he was awarded the OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honors List, for public service.

Open evening for potential new members

Tonight we will host potential new members who visited the LSC stand at the Southampton Boat Show and the Sheep Drive and Livery Fair.

Potential New members as well as new members can  see the clubhouse facilities, learn about our sailing, training and social activities, and join other members for drinks and dinner.

Potential New Members will be given a free drink voucher. Members should book club supper in advance. A number of two-course club suppers, at £17, will be reserved for Potential New Members at the bar.
