Fast Cruise 2 follows close on the heels of Fast Cruise 1 and takes us for dinner in Cowes at the fascinating  Sir Max Aitken Museum.with entertainment by the RNLI City Shanty band. Please be generous with your contributions to the RNLI.

The distinguished yachting journalist Dick Durham will be joining the Cruise as a guest of our Commodore. Please make him welcome and feel free to share your fast cruise experiences with him.

Berths will be reserved at Shepards Marina if requested when booking. Please note that the Yacht Haven will be closed for dredging and space will be restricted at Shepards. Rafting may be necessary if insufficient alongside space is available. Mooring fees to be settled directly with the marina, please ask for your rally discount when paying. There will be a bar available in the museum.

Skippers must satisfy themselves that they and their crew have appropriate qualifications when entering, please see Rule 27.2

When booking please ensure you give your boat and crew names and menu choices as appropriate and complete the booking page fully before clicking on the payment link..If you do not receive a confirmation email after making your booking it will not have been registered so please try again. If that does not work, please contact the organisers.

Last year's Fast Cruises were very popular so please book early to secure your place.

If you do not include a menu choice when booking then Smoked Salmon, Braised Beef and Eton Mess will be ordered for you.

Starters

  • Baby Plum Tomato Tatin with Rocket, Basil and Smoked Tomato Balsamic
  • Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese and Dill Pate with Melba Toast
  • Roasted Butternut Squash, Balsamic Beetroot, Toasted Pine Kernals and Whipped Vegan Cheese

Main Courses

  • Parsley-crusted Cod with a tomato butter sauce
  • Chicken Breast with roasted garlic and tarragon brioche pudding, pea and tarragon jus
  • Braised Rump of Beef with caramelised shallots, pancetta and tarragon
  • Portobello Mushroom, Aubergine and Spinach Stack with red pepper jus (vegan)

All mains served with a selection of Vegetables and Potato

Desserts

  • Dark Chocolate and Salted Caramel Torte with Vanilla Ice-cream
  • Caramelised Lemon Tart with Raspberries
  • Passion Fruit and Mango Eton Mess with Spiced Pineapple
