Once again we are planning a Bank Holiday Rally at the end of May to St Vaast-la-Houge, a small fishing village on the eastern side of the Cotentin peninsula, famous for its seafood especially les huitres.

The rally will follow similar lines to last year with a pontoon party on Saturday evening and a picnic for Sunday Lunch with supplies from M Gosselin's emporium. Crews will then have the chance to eat at the restaurant of their choosing on Saturday Evening. High Water St Vaast on Saturday 28th May is 1357 BST with the gate open from between 1200 BST until 1657 BST. On Sunday HW is at 1506 BST with the gate open from 1305 BST until 1758 BST. Further information on tides is available on

The cost of the Rally is £17 per person. If weather permits a Fast Cruise on the passage over will be organised. The rules are that each boat takes their own time(hhmmss) at either Bembridge Ledge Buoy or Bridge Buoy, pass to the north and east of a circle of 3 miles radius centred on Pointe de Barfleur Light and finish when Le Gavendest SCM is in transit with La Dent SCM. You must finish during the Saturday gate opening to take part. The Fast Cruise sailing instructions are available as a PDF at the top of the page.
