Those of you who visit the Library frequently will know that it is in a continual state of evolution. Although it looks much the same, there is a slow but steady change of content. New books arrive all the time, we have to make space for them, we move a few around, we sell a few off to members. We ask someone to review an incoming book. We try to answer queries, hunt down information; and so on.We hope to reflect and extend on line what we do in the Club house:

We will alert you to the arrival of new books, or ones that are particularly relevant to a lecture or workshop (see Ropework)

Or something of particular interest of the moment eg: the weather. We have books on weather forecasting in the Library (see Reviews and the Catalogue) and we now have links to weather websites. (see Websites)

We are experimenting with the catalogue on line. It is not perfect, it needs some polishing, but we think it is a step in the right direction. You can browse here and save time in the Club house.

We have all sorts of ideas for expanding what we do and how we do it. Let us know what you would like to see. Caroline Sedgewick sent us a link to the Admiralty Notice to Mariners.
