Solent Buoy Challenge 5

The fifth Solent Buoy Challenge will take place on Saturday 10th August

HW Portsmouth: 16:02 BST. East-bound tide from about 14:00

The challenge is to collect as many points as possible between 11:00 and 15:00 by by passing or rounding Solent Marks.

Boats may start anywhere but must pass or round Mark 43, Little Ship Club, at least once and finish at Mark 7Q, Netley. Boats must pass or round 7Q, Netley within 100 yards and to the North East, heading in a North Westerly direction by 15:00. 

The Sailing Instructions may be amended by the Duty Officer in light of weather conditions.

LSC handicaps will be applied to determine the winners and prizes presented in the evening. Declaration logs (excel preferred) should be sent to the Solent Buoy Challenge WhatsApp Group.

Skippers should book their own berths in Southampton Town Quay

The entry fee will be £5 per head. All Crew must book.
