Corinthians Cruise - Bahamas - April 2026

The Corinthians will be holding a joint cruise, with LSC members, in the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas from 18th to 28th April 2026.

The Abaco islands are a chain of thin islands which were formed from silted up coral reefs. On the east side is the Atlantic Ocean which is rough and deep. On the west side, the waters are shallow, warm and sandy - this is the area where people sail. 

Chartering 

Some Corinthians are planning to take their boats to the Bahamas but it is likely that some charter boats will be needed. Boats can be chartered from The Moorings (part of the Sunsail group) and other companies.

An initial check of the Moorings website shows that the cost of chartering a 3-cabin 40' catamaran would be about $13,000 to $13,500, based on 2025 prices (2026 is not yet available).  Moving up to a 4-cabin would be $23,000 to $25,000.  Each is based on 7 days and does not include provisioning, fuel, etc.  Air fare would also be on top of that. Charter costs would be split among the boat's participants.

Getting There

The cruise would start near Marsh Harbour on Great Abaco island. British Airways has direct flights to Nassau, where you can then get an internal flight to Marsh Harbour.  

The 2025 British Airways prices for a Heathrow to Nassau return flight is around £1,750. The internal return flight between Nassau and Marsh Harbour is around £200. Alternatively, you could fly via the United States but that will require an overnight stop. You might find cheaper flights from your own searches.

Cruise Fee

In addition to the the cost of your flights and charter fees there will be a cruise fee which will cover the cost of some events and cruise meals. Discussions are underway with the venues and it is expected that the cruise fee will be calculated by the end of December 2025.
