Photographic Competition 2015

The exhibition and competition will be held on Tuesday 8 December. Entries must be in by Tuesday 24 November. Entrants are permitted up to three entries in each category. All entries will be exhibited in the clubhouse, and the judges' selection used for publicity and published in the spring journal.

Five Categories:

Waterscapes - Marine & inland waterways

Making way – Vessels underway, not drifting

Rallies – Rallies and water-based club events, ashore or afloat

Portraits – Members and families afloat, at the waterside or ashore at an LSC event

Humour – An occasional category, run when there is sufficient demand.

In addition one photograph will be selected as Commodore’s Choice – The Alan Walden-Jones Memorial Trophy, awarded for the photograph that best shows the spirit of the LSC

Please note:

All entries must be photographic prints on standard glossy or matt photo paper or light card. 

With the exceptions of panoramic photographs, all entries must not exceed A5 148 x 210 mm  (5.8 x 8.3 in) size. Panoramic photographs may be up to 1/2 A4 length wise 105 x 297 mm (4.15 x 11.7)

Strictly ONE photograph per sheet. Over Size entries may be cropped or rejected! All photographs MUST be unmounted and there must be no name,  title nor caption on the front. The border should be plain white and symmetrical.

WE WILL ADD ALL CAPTIONS and TITLES below the photographs for judging. Any humour entry with speech bubbles etc. on the image will be rejected.

Class number, Title of the photograph, Competitor's full name and email address or phone number must either be typed, printed or written
IN PENCIL either directly on, or on a label securely attached to, the back of every entry (NO BIRO, INK/MARKER PEN  OR POSTIT NOTES)

Digital imaging is permitted but must be printed as detailed above.
