Rocna anchor on Fioreun's bow

Yachting Monthly October edition has a story that lower quality steel has been used for manufacture in China of some Rocna anchors. I bought one on the strength of their much vaunted high quality, so I'm disappointed. Has anyone else got one?

I bought my 25kg Rocna anchor at the 2010 London Boat Show, having read many favourable reviews and tests. It was an expensive anchor, but Rocna's description of their attention to detail in design and manufacturing quality was convincing. So it's a blow to read the story in the October edition of Yachting Monthly (not denied by Rocna's management) that lower quality steel was used for some anchors after manufacture was transferred to China.

I'll be asking a few questions to get more detail in this - are any other Little Ship Club members in the same position?

An interesting side story - on page 5 of the October Yachting Monthly magazine there's a picture of a Rocna anchor in the bow roller of a yacht. I looked at it and was surprised to see that someone else had adopted the same rather special arrangements for securing the anchor as I did. Then I looked closer and realised it was a photo of my boat! Fame at last!
