Yarmouth swing bridge guide title

The Yarmouth (IoW) Harbour Commissioners have issued a new guide for users of the Western Yar Swing bridge. The main points are:

 

Yarmouth

  • Maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch. 68
  • Inform the bridge operator of your intent to transit the bridge, advising them of which direction you will be travelling in
  • Maintain a good and proper lookout whilst manoeuvring towards and through the bridge
  • Vessels travelling with the tide will normally transit first. The Bridge Operator will confirm via VHF Ch.68
