This afternoon and evening will be dedicated to a funeral service for Charlie Quayle followed by drinks and then supper at the Club so that friends and family will have an opportunity to share memories and celebrate his life.

Charlie died peacefully on New Years Eve after a long illness.  After more than 20 years membership he joined the Committee in 2019 and quickly rose to Vice Commodore Sail and Power before being forced to resign due to ill health.

He will be missed by many members and by his partner, Jill Moffatt, with whom he owned Kioni and organised the Fast Cruises for more than 6 years.

Service: The service will be held at St Michael Paternoster Royal church (opposite the Club), presided by Father Tim Handley, starting at 15:00.  It will be followed by drinks at the Club (so that we have an idea of numbers, please let us know whether you wish to attend the funeral and drinks only by clicking the "Attend drinks only" link below) and then Club Supper at 18:30.

The service will be live streamed and will be available via this link for those unable to attend in person: https://www.funeralstreaming.co.uk/viewing-room/28146/

Donations: Charlie requested family flowers only but asked for donations instead to Waterloo Uncovered, a small charity of which, as a keen military historian, he was an enthusiastic supporter. If you would like to make a donation, which would be much appreciated, you can do so via Justgiving here. Thank you very much for your support, you'll definitely be making a difference.
