Winter Fast Cruise (six)
The March Fast Cruise and Prizegiving will be to the Royal Corinthian YC in Cowes with berthing at Cowes Yacht Haven. There will only be one Fast Cruise as both the LSCHC and Progresive HC results need to be calculated before the dinner. For those of you that haven't visited the RCYC before it is beyond the other end of the High Street, past the Island SC beyond the Parade and on the hill just before and behind the RYS. It has now merged with the Royal Ocean Racing Club and so either name may be on the gate.
The dinner is a hot buffet. The starter is Salad of Smoked Chicken, Mango and toasted Pinenuts and the main course will be a choice of either Herb crusted Supreme of Salmon with Hollandaise Sauce or Lancashire Hot Pot with Braised Red cabbage. A vegetarian option of Gallette of Roasted Mediterranean Vegetables with a Tomato and Chilli Jus will also be available. A choice of desserts and coffee will be available on the night. You don't need to choose your food unless you want the vegetarian option.
Dinner will cost £24.00 per head so, with the £3.00 per person Fast Cruise fee the total will be £27.00 per person, payable during registration. Please, please let me know if you require a vegetarian meal when registering.

Here are the courses for this Saturday's fast cruise - there is only one race as finishing positions need to be calculated before the prize giving.

The early forecasts were showing wind strengths of 3 to 5 knots but later forecasts had predicted around 14 to 16 knots which was spot on the actual wind strengths on Saturday.
