Emirates Team New Zealand is setting a torrid pace at the Cascais AC Match Race Championship, the third stage of the AC World Series competition, leading after the first day of the series.
Following a two-hour postponement due to unusually light and fickle winds in Cascais, the three seeding fleet races were packed with thrills and spills, the most dramatic of which was a start line collision between ORACLE Racing Coutts and the Kiwis.

After the drama and action-packed first four days of Act 5 from Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week, the breezy conditions that cart-wheeled the Extreme 40 Aberdeen Asset Management yesterday, eased off today at the halfway stage of the UK round of the 2011 Extreme Sailing Series™.

Fantastic conditions for the second day of Act 5, Cowes. The Extreme Sailing Series famous for attracting huge crowds, and today they poured to the shoreside in their thousands to catch the action. And in the big breeze, there was plenty of it - nose-dives, pitch poles, spray everywhere and one BIG collision between Artemis Racing and Groupe Edmond de Rothschild.

Nine of the best sailing teams in the world are making their final preparations in Cascais, Portugal ahead of the opening weekend of the 34th America’s Cup.
