Yarmouth Rally alive and well!

Five fully crewed yachts arrived in Yarmouth on Saturday the 5th May to join the traditional Yarmouth Spring Rally and to revive a long tradition which in recent years has been less significant in the Club's calender of events. Organised by Keith Irons with his usual style and attention to detail the members enjoyed a delightful dinner at the Royal Solent Yacht Club with delightful views over the Western Solent and culminating in a magnificent sunset after a warm and sun filled day. On Sunday those who wished attended morning service at the Parish Church followed by a lazy walk to the Red Lion and back later to the harbour through the green fields and bluebell woods. A modest amount of alcohol and plenty of good food was consumed, continuous brilliant sunshine was enjoyed by all and members shared their boats for a get together on Sunday evening and everyone departed in more wonderful sunshine on Monday morning. DON'T miss next years rally for which there will undoubtedly be a waiting list. Thank you very much to Keith.
