The City of London Sheep Drive and Livery Fair

This year the Sheep Drive and Livery Fair will take place on Sunday 28th September on Southwark Bridge, just next to the Little Ship Club on Three Cranes Walk. 

This is a fascinating City event with ancient origins that involves numerous City Livery Companies and Guilds, who will hold their annual fair on the north side of the bridge at Monument.  Historically any Freeman of the City was entitled to drive their sheep across London Bridge.  The modern event is usually attended by newly-elected Freemen and their proud families.

The Little Ship Club will be open for refreshments

The Little Ship Club will be holding an Open Day at its comfortable clubhouse overlooking the River Thames. The clubhouse will welcome members and visiting guests for a Buffet Lunch between 12.00 - 2.30 pm (pre-booking required).  Lunch will be held in two sessions - the first session will end at 14:00 and the second session will start at 14:30.  Lunch Bookings for each sitting can be made by clicking the links below. When booking please indicate your time of arrival for lunch in the Special Dietary Requirements Section (12:00,12:15,12:30,12:45 for the First Sitting and for the Second Sitting 14:30;14:45,15.00,15:15)
Sandwiches, snacks and drinks will be available throughout the day to all without prior booking.
