Derek ‘Jake’ Wright helped with the evacuation of Dunkirk on a small tug taken up from trade, commissioned and then fought in some of the Royal Navy’s smallest coastal warships (in which he won three Distinguished Service Crosses and a Mention in Dispatches) and then he spent his post-war leisure time cruising in his own small motor yacht called Sea Saga.
The book has been written exclusively to benefit the Coastal Forces Heritage Trust (a registered Charity), with all the royalties assigned to them. As a salaried Royal Navy Officer, Chris researches and writes for the simple satisfaction of immortalising our seagoing heroes and their coastal forces boats).
