An Old Salts’ lunch club for long-serving members of the Little Ship Club has been formed with a view to encouraging older members to resume their social activities and reconnect with old friends and associates to recall past times and exploits, and to re-establish contacts.

It is focused initially on those members with 25 years of membership of the Little Ship Club and the plan is to hold lunch meetings, initially on a twice-yearly basis, on a Tuesday, so that lunch attendees can stay on to meet up with other members in the evening.

Starters: 

1.  Gin cured salmon, pickled cucumber, shallots and creme fraiche
2.  Sun-blushed tomato and red onion tarte Tatin with a rocket and parmesan salad 
3.  Goats cheese panna cotta, savory granola and lemon oil.  (V)

Mains: 

1.  Chicken breast, pan-fried gnocchi, peas a la paysanne, finished with a pancetta velouté 
2.  Harissa trout, caper pomme puree, lemon and garlic hispi cabbage & crème fraiche
3.  Wild mushroom and spinach strudel, pomme puree, tender stem broccoli, and mushroom velouté --V

Desserts:

1.  Italian tiramisu with gold leaf
2.  Passionfruit curd tart, white chocolate leaf and mascarpone cream
3.  Seasonal fruit plate, edible flowers and raspberry coulis  --V

The price is £25 for two courses and £32 for three courses.  Bookings can be made via the website or using the attached flyer and will close on Thursday 20th April at midday.  Please specify whether you would like the vegetarian option in each case,
