As well as supporting young and extremely talented musicians, the event aims to raise funds for the Tower Lifeboat Station - the busiest in the entire RNLI network and which in 2014 launched its lifeboats 543 times rescuing 104 people and saving 16 lives.

The RNLI Lifeboat service depends for its existence on voluntary contributions - and every penny counts. £540 will cover the cost of a tank of fuel (600 litres) for the E Class Mark 2 Lifeboat operated at Tower Station (max. speed 40 knots); £1,527 will pay for the training of one of the 55 volunteer crew members at the Station; and £1,678 will buy new inshore kit for one of the 9 full time crew members.

The Committee do hope you and your friends might be able to support the event by attending (in which case please apply for tickets as directed above) but even if you are unable to attend the event, please still consider making a donation and to this end please complete and return the attached Gift Aid form together with your donation to the Chairman, RNLI City of London Committee, 44 Luttrell Avenue, Putney, London SW15 6PE.
