Rona Sailing Project

This evening Club member Steve Burgess will give a presentation, including some personal reflections, on The Rona Sailing Project (or how to sail big yachts with young people doing all the hard work)

The RSP (formerly London Sailing Project) is one of the oldest sail training organisations in the country, established in 1960. Crews come from a wide variety of social backgrounds: from the well-adjusted to those in the care of Social and Probation services, as well as in between. Voyages are also undertaken for adults with learning difficulties, visually impaired, deaf, and more recently for those recovering from drug and alcohol dependency.  Unfortunately, Covid-19 has meant that none of the boats have ventured out this year, but we live in hope for 2021!

Virtual Club Nights are being held using Zoom every Tuesday from 18:30 to 20:00.  Zoom Instructions and tips are attached as a PDF on the right.  Joining details are sent by email to members each week in the 'Latest News' bulletin. If you do not receive the joining details then please send an email to the Chairman of the Social Committee, Benedict Ryan.
