The Club stand at last year's boat show

The Boat show is the Club's biggest recruitment opportunity of the year.  The four main reasons we have a stand are: to recruit new, active members ; to promote use of the Club; fill our RYA theory courses and raise awareness of the Club. Kate continued with the practicalities of achieving these objectives. We want to recruit at least 150 new members. That means that we need to generate at least 50 invitations to visit the Club each day at the show or 600 invites issued across the whole show. We also need to recruit specifically for the accelerated RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster and Day Skipper theory courses which start on Wednesday 2 February. We also need some more volunteers and we have spaces that need to be filled on

  • Sunday 9 January: morning (2) and afternoon (3)
  • Monday 10 January: morning (1) and afternoon (2)
  • Tuesday 11 January: afternoon (2)
  • Wednesday 12 January: morning (1)
  • Friday 14 January: morning (1), afternoon (3)
  • Saturday 15 January: morning (1), afternoon (2) including a stand manager.
