This year, the IRC East Coast Championships will be hosted by the RBYC as part of the their Whitsun Regatta. The overall winner of the Championships will be presented with the Whiplash Trophy.

The Championships are open to all boats with a current IRC certificate and a draft of less than 3m. They will be decided over a series of races both inside the River Crouch, and in the area of the Gunfleet Sands and Whitaker buoys.

The weekend promises to be an exciting mix of friendly and competitive racing and and an exciting social program has also been laid on. Accommodation is available in the cabins at the RBYC, and a full launch service will also be available should you wish to stay aboard. Breakfast will be available daily in the club.

Boats from Benelux are being particularly encouraged and they will have ther opportunity to race back home the following weekend in the RORC East Coast Race which feeds into EAORA Week in Holland.
