The Provisional Club Handicaps for this year's Fast Cruises are listed below. These are not definite yet and need to be ratified by the FC scorer/handicapper but are offered as a guide for this weekend.

These are handicaps that have either been taken from yachts that have completed previous winter Fast Cruises or have taken part in a Fast Cruise during one of the summer rallies, or have been taken from similar yachts in the ISCRS Division of the Round the Island Race.

The Fast Cruises are run on a progressive handicap. This is based around a theoretical, fictitious median yacht for each Fast Cruise. It then calculates the handicap that, if applied, would give all yachts the same corrected time. It is, however, limited so that a handicap is not changed by more than 20%. It then averages 75% of the existing handicap with 25% of the new calculated handicap and the averaged result will apply for the next cruise. I hope you all understand this. There will be a test at the next pontoon party!

Please note: All yachts with a handicap lower than 0.900 should sail the shorter course. Results will be calculated on corrected speed rather than corrected time.
