There are two races scheduled for tomorrow, 20 October. However, the current forecast is for very light winds (under 5kts all day) of indeterminate direction so these courses are what we hope to do if things go well. If they don't, then...........................................

For each race there is a long course and a short course. Boats with a LSC handicap of 1.060 or above should attempt the long courses, boats with a handicap of 1.059 and below should sail the short courses.

Skippers should be alert (listening on VHF Ch 77) for SHORTEN COURSE instructions.

First Start for all boats together will be from 11.00 to 11.10 at NE Ryde Middle buoy.

The time of the second start for all boats together (if conditions allow) will be announced on VHF Ch 77, but it is intended to follow on fairly closely from the end of the first race (15-20 minute gap).

The start of the second race will be at N Ryde Middle buoy.

If conditions tomorrow are such that racing has to be abandoned in whole or in part a "consolation" race may be offered on Sunday morning (probably at 10.00) subject to demand. Views will be solicited in Cowes tomorrow afternoon if appropriate. In that event a course will be made available at RCYC in the evening or from Juno in the marina.

Sailing Instructions for the Fast Cruise series are available to download here.

PLEASE NOTE - boats are required to FINISH within 25m of the nominated buoy. Any boat noted to be measuring this 25m with very stretchy elastic will be open to the imposition of an onerous time penalty by the organisers.
