A Little Ship Club defaced ensign, still attached to its staff, has been rescued mid-Channel between Cherbourg and the Needles. The Club office has been contacted by a Lymington based sailor who pulled it out of the Channel and has it for safe-keeping until it is reclaimed by its rightful owner.

The flag's rescuer says: "It is in good condition - the triangle motif is surrounded with what look like small oak leaves - suspect it might have popped out in last Sunday's bad weather."

If you lost your ensign overboard recently, please email the Club office  or phone on 020 7236 729 and arrangements will be made to reunite you with your flag!
