Music Evening: the story of the Motley Crew

The Motley Crew entertaining you on June 19th is really quite unique, and an act not to be missed.
Born in Sarajevo, Bojan was a recorded artist at the age of 4. He graduated with honours from the Music Academy, only to have his composing and performing career cut short by the civil war which hit Yugoslavia in 1992. Since landing in the UK, his talent has earned him a recording contract with Bloomsbury Music, he has toured with artists such as Joan Baez and Bono, headlined “Wake Up The World” (the charity concert organised by Vanessa Redgrave), and has added an impressive list of credits as a composer for various audiovisual works. Drawing on classical orchestral sounds which talk of his roots and influences, those privileged to have heard him play live describe Bojan’s style as colourful, eclectic, and fresh.
The Crew’s main singer, Peter, is also quite remarkable. For a while fancying a career as a live performer, the young Peter sharpened his musical chops wherever he could, from the Northern working men’s clubs, to summer camps, rising to cabaret venues and becoming established on the semi-pro entertainment circuit. When came the time to choose a “real” career, he decided to put his creative talents to another use; not a trained musician, Peter’s encyclopaedic musical culture allows him to borrow lyrics from all genres and all eras.
Bojan often provides the music for another exceptional singer, his own son Marko.
A real Renaissance man – or, more accurately, Renaissance boy since he is still only 13! - recorded artist Marko’s list of musical credits includes solo performances at various London musical venues, charity concerts, and, recently, a critically acclaimed tour in the West End Oliver! Among his many other talents, Marko is also an accomplished tennis player - check him out now, we will certainly be seeing a great deal more of him in the future.
We are very lucky to have them performing for us, and the evening will include numbers for all tastes – from Bojan’s warm up blues, to Peter’s Michael Buble’ style, to Marko’s rendition of some of Michael Jackson’s best known hits ... another music evening to remember!
