New combined gilet & lifejacket

Want to be smart and safe (and how's the credit card bearing up after Christmas)? There's a new gilet from SeaSafe, the Cowes based makers of  marine safety clothing, called Pacific Lite. It comes with CLS, Concealed Lifejacket System, and is designed for comfort in warmer weather.

Designed with a mesh netting back and liner to make it lighter and more comfortable to wear, it uses a breathable fabric and includes a Solas light, an Aquapac mini phone case, a flare pocket and a knife holder. Probably that's what you'd expect for a premium product with a £249.95 price tag, though the manufacturers point out that it's both a stylish piece of clothing and a 150 Newton lifejacket.
