As the season draws to a close, it's time for the award of the club's trophies, and we would welcome all your suggestions of candidates to receive them. Short-listing has begun, but we really need to hear from you about, for instance, acts of remarkable seamanship or other achievements that deserve recognition, but have not been publicised.

Please do not be shy in putting a name forward, if you think something deserves recognition. There is silverware to be awarded where the criteria centre on seamanship; perseverance in getting to a rally; logs of certain cruises; the furtherance of yachting and other contributions to the club. There is also the rarely awarded Colonel Hudson Memorial Trophy for extraordinary acts of skill, courage or character in rendering assistance to life or property.
