Zeeland cruise with the Corinthians

It is with great regret that we have taken the decision to move the Zeeland Cruise to the Solent. We have become increasingly concerned at the stance that the Belgian and Dutch customs authorities are taking towards boats carrying red diesel... Skippers of UK registered vessels have suffered heavy fines for carrying red diesel irrespective of whether they can demonstrate that they have paid full or partial duty on that fuel and we felt that we could not expose skippers to that risk, no matter how small a risk it was. The cruise is now being re-located to the Solent and will be known as the Solent Jubilee 2012 Cruise. It will start at Ocean Village in Southampton on Saturday 30 June and finish in the Beaulieu River on Friday 6 July – this is the same timing as announced for Zeeland. All LSC and Corinthian attendees have now been told of the change in plans.
We have made this change reluctantly and apologise for any inconvenience that this might cause. The new itinerary, which will be announced shortly, will provide a super opportunity for sharing a familiar cruising ground with our “cousins” and may even provide some welcome surprises for our South Coast skippers.
All participants have been asked to re-confirm their attendance with the rally organisers by 27 January. It is anticipated that there may be a very limited ability to take more boats than have already booked in. If you are interested in participating, either as a skipper or crew and have not booked in already please advise the organisers by 27 January.
