Professor Sir lain Gray recently retired as Director Aerospace at Cranfield University. Iain has many years experience in the aerospace sector including leading the development team of the A380 wing when in senior role at Airbus.

The technology and product development in the first 100 years of aerospace was phenomenal. Whilst the number of new products now reaching the market may be much less but the pace of technology development continues to accelerate.
The lecture will highlight these technology developments and offer a view of how it will influence aviation over the next 50 years.

It will discuss the challenges for aerospace and particularly the environmental challenges of aviation and will provide a personal view of how aerospace may look 50 years from now in 2075.
