We purchased our Moody in 2009 on an impulse. She was on the market and standing on the hard at Swanwick looking rather lonely.

We had actually meandered down to Swanwick on the tip off that there was a big Moody 42 going cheap. Well as we all know you get 'owt for 'nowt, she was a wreck. So, disappointed and warming to the reputation of  Moody yachts, we picked up the list of boats for sale. Low and behold there she was, the asking price twice what we had in mind but what the hell. We did the deal, processed the paperwork, had a survey and engine service and sailed away to our first Club Rally in our very own boat.

Since then we have done a lot of work on her and she is a pleasure to sail. She is remarkably quick, solidly built and comfortable below. Everyone who sails with us loves her and of course we are excellent hosts!
