The fleet, the small select band by now of Lazy Life, Silver Tide, Willow and Aeolus, are in Vannes, and tonight is the second cruise dinner, to be held at the Grain de Sel restaurant. For some boats new crews have been arriving, and this is the farthest point of the cruise, so the return legs start tomorrow.

Unfortunately the forecast includes Force 7 gusts, so the plan to go to Sauzon on Belle Ile has been modified to a short leg across to Port Haliguen on the Quiberon peninsula. Another day in Vannes isn't an option as the Tour de France a la Voile fleet is coming in, so berths have to be cleared.

Word was coming through that Mary Lunn's jury rudder was well on the way to being installed, so there's a chance of her meeting up with the fleet on the way home at some point. We wish her good luck.
