About the West Country
The English West Country is in the south-west tip of England mainly covering the counties of Devon an Cornwall. The majority of the cruise will take place on the southern Cornish coast.
The West Country is well know for local delights such as Cornish Pasties, fudge and Cream Teas, as well as a good range of local gin and beers. The beautiful beaches and rugged coastline with secret coves were a haven for smuggling in the past - but that sort of thing probably doesn't go on nowadays!
Getting there
The cruise will start and end in Plymouth. If you are crew, talk to your skipper about where and when to join the boat as there may be opportunities to join the boat before or after the cruise.
There is a regular train service to Plymouth from London's Paddington Railway Station. A typical train journey is a little over three hours. For tickets and prices look on the Trainline website or the Great Western Railway website.
LSC/Corinthian Liaison
Paul Banks is the liaison officer between the Corinthians and LSC. For any questions about the cruise, email Paul.
