Solent Buoy Challenge 2 - Hamble - Sat 11th May 2024

The second Solent Buoy Challenge will take place on Saturday 11th May. 

HW Portsmouth: 02:01 & 14:37 BST. East-bound tide until about 12:45

The challenge is to collect as many points as possible between 11:00 and 15:00 by by passing or rounding Solent Marks.

Boats may start anywhere but must pass or round Mark 43, Little Ship Club, at least once and finish at Mark 73, Bald Head. Boats must pass or round 73, Bald Head within 100 yards and to the East, heading in a North Westerly direction by 15:00. 

The Sailing Instructions may be amended by the Duty Officer in light of weather conditions.

LSC handicaps will be applied to determine the winners and prizes presented in the evening. Declaration logs (excel preferred) should be sent to the Solent Buoy Challenge WhatsApp Group.

A number of berths have been reserved in Port Hamble Marina. Please send boat details (name & length) to Jonathan Hague ASAP if you would like one of these berths.

The entry fee will be £5 per head. All Crew must book.
