London International Boat Show preview
2011 is set to be the 35th year for the Cornish Crabber brand at the Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show, where they will be one of the few British sailboat builders exhibiting their traditionally styled Cornish Crabber range. The Little Ship Club will also be exhibiting again at London’s biggest and best-loved boating experience and discount tickets are available for members. Do please come and visit us at our stall at stand C85 in the North Hall and bring any friends along to see what wonderful opportunities the club has to offer.

Protests dismissed - Wild Oats wins line honours
The Sydney Hobart race committee protests against Wild Oats XI, line honours winner, and the British registered Ran (sixth place) were dismissed after a tense wait for the jury to deliberate. Titania of Cowes is safely in Hobart. Titania, with Sir Robin on board, finished at 1.11 am local time in 19th place in an elapsed time of 3 days, 12 hours, 11 minutes, 29 seconds.

Wild Oats wins line honours - provisionally
The Race Committee has lodged a protest against Wild Oats XI and Ran for failing to report by HF radio from Green Cape. They reported only by telephone which does not comply, according to the committee.

Sydney Hobart - into the third day
Titania of Cowes now lying in 16th place. After a southerly gale overnight which saw more retirements, the wind is forecast to swing clockwise and give some high speed downwind sailing for the yachts further back in the fleet.

Sir Robin competes in Sydney Hobart race
This year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, which started at 13:00 local time today in Sydney, is forecast to be as challenging as usual. Two "Southerly Busters" are forecast in the first 48 hours. The Southerly Buster occurs when the east Australian current runs against a southerly breeze causing a confused sea state and big waves.

Tenth Cowes regatta for classic yachts dates
The British Classic Yacht Club (BCYC), in conjunction with their event sponsor Panerai, have announced the dates for the 10th edition of the Club's annual regatta renamed for 2011 as 'Panerai British Classic Week' next year's regatta in Cowes will run from Sunday, 17 to Saturday, 23 July. It is not yet known if Mary Lunn and ADATR will compete.

Folly Fast Cruise
After two weeks of sub zero temperatures and snow the thaw arrived just in time for the December Fast Cruise which was held in a balmy 4 to 5°C and light W to NW winds of 8 to 10 knots. 10 yachts and 50 club members enjoyed the heat wave over the weekend.
